Promote your practice by learning how to put together a well-curated portfolio and get noticed by galleries.
Henri van Noordenburg guides you through a process of assessing the industry and target audiences to work out where and when to pitch your work. The workshop will help you map the relevant content, structure and design of a portfolio so it shows the quality and scope of your practice.
As well as exploring the requirements and diversity of contemporary portfolios, you’ll work through the pros and cons of websites, social media and hard copy samples.
If you are an artist, arts worker, educator or student looking for knowledge of the Queensland arts industry, ways to find your audiences and how to curate a portfolio then this workshop is for you.
$75 ($60 for Flying Arts Members)

Additional Information
Henri van Noordenburg works as an arts administrator and has been a practicing artist for more than 2 decades. He worked as a lecturer in Photography, was Visual Arts Coordinator (Brisbane Powerhouse) and Board Member for Queensland Centre for Photography (QCP).
Henri first produced his first large-scale, hand carved on Photo Rag print in 2010, a technique similar to the sgraffito process. This unique technique in combination with photography marked a significant change in his art practice. He received the Career Development Grant in 2011, won several Arts Awards and selected in the top ten of emerging focus folio review at Photo LA 13 (Los Angeles, USA). His work was showcased at Photo LA (2011 to 2015).
Henri is developing an ambitious new work partly created during of his artist in residence in The Philippines commencing in 2019. In 2018 his work featured in the inaugural Manila Biennale ‘Open City’, Pinnacles Gallery (Townsville) and One Space (Brisbane). 2016 was his most prolific year to date including 5 international art fairs. Henri was an Artist in Residence in Estonia, resulting a publication and touring exhibition, entitled “home / Kodu”.
His artwork and writings are featured in countless publications nationally and internationally including IANN magazine (Korea), Fabrik Magazine (USA) Artline and Australian Art Education. His work is part of several collections, including the Wallis Annenberg at Los Angeles County Museum of Arts (LACMA) USA, 9 public collections in Queensland and private collections (Australia, New Zealand, Israel, USA and Europe).
