Event Details

This workshop gives you the time and processes to look at what aspects of your arts practice would make a good workshop or series.

Learn how to undertake community-based research to gauge demand and tailor your content to suit and inspire audiences. Delve into the detail on how to prepare yourself and your participants for your planned event/s, and how to communicate, facilitate and present information in an engaging way (that won’t put people to sleep!).

You’ll discover effective ways to follow up with participants afterwards so the learning doesn’t stop and you can glean feedback. From putting together resource kits to garnering the basics of facilitation, this workshop gives you confidence to enable learners and develop an income stream from your practice. If you’re thinking about applying for FAA’s Touring Artists program, this preparatory session is highly recommended.
