Art doesn’t exist in isolation. This webinar will help you better understand how to make your creative endeavours and dreams a reality. John Elliott, an experienced photographer and writer from Blackall, western Queensland will speak about the need to embrace change and use cultural disruption to achieve creative goals.

About your facilitator: John Elliott is a photographer, writer and advocate for Australian culture from Blackall, western Queensland. John has had 14 books published over a lifetime of living and working in regional centres, with his exhibition, Thousand Mile Stare, at the National Portrait Gallery (2005) connecting him to the national art scene.
John is a Churchill Fellow and visiting scholar at the National Film and Sound Archive. Recently, John spent six years as Tourism & Events Manager at the Winton Shire Council where he worked to attract film making to the Shire and planned major events, including the Winton Film Festival and Winton’s Way Out West Fest. John is passionate about sharing his contacts across a wide range of interests and is a strong believer in the benefits of artists and arts orginisations living and working in the regions.
