Event Details

This event has been rescheduled to Sunday 4 October online

To build a personal brand, it helps to first articulate your purpose, goals and values. In many ways this requires much more philosophical or creative thinking than being commercially minded. It’s about understanding your core ‘why’ and letting that become the inspiration to any visuals that you use to represent yourself (logos, type, colour, tone-of-voice etc). Once you have a greater understanding of yourself and the tools needed, your personal brand starts to design itself.

This workshop provides artists with a greater understanding of what makes up a personal brand. Participants will discuss, share and help each other with insights into their purpose, goal and value statements. You will also explore free and practical resources that can help you choose brand assets, like typeface, colour and tone-of-voice that will give you consistency in future visually communication.

You will:

– Learn the fundamentals of personal branding.
– Articulate key statements to define a brand.
– Identify your best communication tools.
– Discover resources to help you build your personal brand.

Participants to Bring:

– Completed questionnaire (supplied ahead of workshop)
– Pen & paper or device for note-taking
– Laptop for digital exercises (no design software experience required, and Flying Arts can provide a laptop if required)
